Ch. 359                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND

tributaries any monofilament gill net webbing of any description
to catch fish.

(2)  A PERSON MAY USE A MONOFILAMENT CAST NET OR A
MONOFILAMENT THROW NET TO CATCH BAITFISH IN ANY TIDAL WATER OF
THE CHESAPEAKE BAY OR ITS TRIBUTARIES.

(3)  IN CASTING A MONOFILAMENT NET AS PROVIDED UNDER
PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION, A PERSON:

(I)  MAY NOT USE A CAST NET THAT HAS A RADIUS
GREATER THAN 10 FEET; AND

(II)  MAY CAST A CAST NET ONLY BY HAND,

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Survival of Actions - Slander

FOR the purpose of providing that a cause of action for slander
does not abate upon the death of either party if an appeal
has been taken from a judgement entered in favor of the
plaintiff; and generally relating to survival of actions.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
