(iv) 1 representative of practicing physicians.

(v) 1 representative of the clergy.

(vi) 1 representative of the legal profession.

(vii) 1 representative of the local council on
alcoholism, if any.

(viii) 2 employees of alcoholism treatment
programs in the county.

(ix) At least 4 members from the general
public.

(b)  If an intercounty advisory council is established, the
governing body of each participating county shall appoint at
least 4 members of the council.

(c)  (1) The term of an appointed member is 3 years and
begins on July 1.

(2)  The terms of one third of the appointed members
of each county advisory council or intercounty advisory council
end each year.

(3)  At the end of a term, a member continues to serve
until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)  A member who is appointed after a term has begun
serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.

(5)  A member who serves 2 consecutive full 3-year
terms may not be reappointed for 3 years after completion of
those terms.

(D) (1) NOTWITHSTANDING SUBSECTION (C) OF THIS SECTION, IN
CHARLES COUNTY, THE TERM OF AN APPOINTED MEMBER IS 4 YEARS AND
BEGINS ON JULY 1.

(2)  THE TERMS OF ONE QUARTER OF THE APPOINTED MEMBERS
END EACH YEAR.

(3)  A MEMBER WHO SERVES 2 CONSECUTIVE FULL 4-YEAR
TERMS MAY NOT BE REAPPOINTED FOR 4 YEARS AFTER COMPLETION OF THE
MEMBER'S TERM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, the terms of
members of the boards and councils affected by this Act are
staggered as required by the terms provided for members on July
1, 1988. Thereafter, all terms are for 4 years.
