(A) THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION THERE IS THE EXECUTIVE A
DIRECTOR OF STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED
BY THE COMMISSIONER SECRETARY.

(A) THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION IS THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR, WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SECRETARY.

(B)  SUBJECT TO THE GENERAL POLICIES OF THE MARYLAND HIGHER
EDUCATION COMMISSION AND THE GENERAL SUPERVISION OF THE
COMMISSIONER SECRETARY, THE EXECUTIVE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
EXERCISES THE POWERS AND PERFORMS THE DUTIES UNDER THIS TITLE.

[18-203.

(a)  (1) The Governor shall designate one of the members as
the chairman of the Board.

(2) The Board may elect any other officer it
requires.

(b)  The Board:

(1)  Shall meet at least once in each fiscal year;

(2)  May meet at any other time that the Chairman
designates; and

(3)  May adopt rules for the conduct of its meetings.]

18-203.

(A) THE ADMINISTRATION MAY EMPLOY THE ADDITIONAL STAFF
NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT ITS FUNCTIONS AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

(B) EACH EMPLOYEE OF THE ADMINISTRATION IS ENTITLED TO THE
COMPENSATION PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

18-203.
