(1)  EVALUATE THE POPULATION OF THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE DISTRICTS ARE OF
SUBSTANTIALLY EQUAL POPULATION; AND

(2)  RECOMMEND TO THE GARRETT COUNTY DELEGATION TO THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN DISTRICTS OF
SUBSTANTIALLY EQUAL POPULATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

(House Bill 843)

AN ACT concerning

Establishment of an Oyster Diver's Divers' and
Patent Tongers' Advisory Committee Committees

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Natural Resources
(Department) to have licensed oystermen of this State select
appoint a committee committees composed of a specified
number of oystermen who earn their livelihood by catching
oysters using diving apparatus and by using patent tongs;
requiring the oyster diver's committee divers' and tongers'
committees to confer with the Department concerning oyster
propagation conducted by the Department in certain areas;
requiring the oyster diver's committee divers' and tongers'
committees to select a chairman chairmen; requiring the
chairman chairmen of the oyster diver's committee divers'
and tongers' committees to serve on a statewide committee of
oystermen to advise the Department on certain issues; and
generally relating to the establishment of an advisory
committee committees composed of oyster divers and patent
tongers.
