LAWS OF MARYLAND

(L) THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL SHALL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A
REPOSITORY OF REPORTS FILED IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 14B OF THIS
ARTICLE.

14B.

IF THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL OR THE LOCAL AUTHORITY HAVING
JURISDICTION OVER FIRE INVESTIGATIONS DETERMINES THAT A CHIMNEY
CONTRIBUTED TO THE CAUSE OF A FIRE, THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL OR THE
LOCAL AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION OVER FIRE INVESTIGATIONS
SHALL FILE WITH THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE A REPORT THAT
IDENTIFIES THE CHIMNEY INVOLVED IN THE FIRE AS:

(1)  A LINED, MASONRY CHIMNEY;

(2)  AN UNLINED, MASONRY CHIMNEY; OR

(3)  A PREFABRICATED, METAL CHIMNEY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Length of Service Award Program

FOR the purpose of authorizing the St. Mary's County
Commissioners to establish a length of service award program
for certain volunteer fire and rescue personnel in St.
Mary's County; and deleting references to a retirement
program for those personnel.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
