(House Bill 85)

AN ACT concerning

Oysters - Somerset County - Power Dredging

FOR the purpose of extending for a certain period of time the
termination date under which a person may catch oysters with
a power dredging license in certain waters of the State that
lie contiguous to Somerset County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 578 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1983
Section 2

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

Section 4-701(d)(1)(vii)7., 4-1001(g)(2), 4-1008(c),

4-1013(c), 4-1014, and 4-1201(e)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 578 of the Acts of 1983

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
automatically expire [July 1, 1988] JULY 1, 1993.

(d) (1) The following annual license fees shall apply:

(vii) To catch for sale oysters, soft-shell
clams, and hard-shell clams with equipment that is lawful under
Subtitle 10:

7. Oysters by power dredge in authorized
areas, in addition to the fees for catching oysters by diving,
tonging, or handscraping......................................$50
