SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

155.

(a) The salaries of the members of the said boards of
license commissioners shall be as specified in this section.
Where no salary is specified for such boards which serve ex
officio, the members thereof are to receive no additional
compensation under the provisions of this section.

(v) In Wicomico County, the chairman of the board of
license commissioners shall receive annual compensation of
[$2,500] $3,000. Each other member shall receive annual
compensation of [$2,000] $2,500.

(r) (3) The board of license commissioners for Wicomico
County may designate an attorney for the board, at an annual
salary of [$3,000] $3,500, and that the salary shall be provided
in the county budget from time to time.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the members and the Chairman of the Wicomico County Board of
License Commissioners in office on the effective date of this
Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or
compensation of the members and the Chairman of the Wicomico
County Board of License Commissioners shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.
