There is an Advisory Commission on Federal-State-Local
Relations.

2-908.

(a)  The Commission consists of the following [12] 13
members:

(1)  4 Senators, appointed by the President of the
Senate;

(2)  4 Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of the
House of Delegates;

(3)  as ex officio members:

(i) the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal
Planning; [and]

(ii) the Secretary of State Planning; AND

(III) THE SECRETARY OF STATE;

(4)  a representative of the Maryland Association of
Counties, appointed by the president of the association; and

(5)  a representative of the Maryland Municipal
League, appointed by the president of the league.

(b)  (l) The terms of the representatives of the Maryland
Association of Counties and the Maryland Municipal League are 4
years.

(2)  At the end of a term, a representative member
continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(3)  A representative member who is appointed after a
term has begun serves only for the remainder of the term and
until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.
