Washington County - Length of Service Award Program

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of
Washington County to establish and fund a volunteer length
of service award program for certain volunteer personnel in
Washington County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

THE WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, BY RESOLUTION OR
ORDINANCE, MAY ESTABLISH AND FUND A VOLUNTEER LENGTH OF SERVICE
AWARD PROGRAM FOR QUALIFIED MEMBERS OF VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENTS, RESCUE SQUADS, AND AMBULANCE CORPS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.
