WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

Ch. 54

(k) Any person who is convicted of a violation of any of
the provisions of § 21-902(a) of this article ("Driving while
intoxicated"):

(1)  For a first offense, shall be subject to a fine
of not more than $1,000, or imprisonment for not more than 1
year, or both;

(2)  For a second offense, shall be subject to a fine
of not more than $1,000, or imprisonment for not more than 2
years, or both; and

(3)  For a third or subsequent offense, IS GUILTY OF A
FELONY AND shall be subject to a fine of not more than [$2,000,]
$3,000 or imprisonment for not more than 3 years, or both.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

(House Bill 121)

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Board of Electrical Examiners

FOR the purpose of removing an obsolete reference to the St.
Mary's County Electrical Contractors' Association from
provisions relating to the County's Board of Electrical
Examiners; requiring that certain members of the Board
reside in St. Mary's County; expanding the power of the
County Commissioners relating to the selection of members of
the Board; and generally relating to the St. Mary's County
Board of Electrical Examiners.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County

Section 38-1

Article 19 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
