Ch. 48

LAWS OF MARYLAND

Former SF § ll-137(h), which required exhaustion of
remedies prior to judicial review, is deleted as
surplusage.

Defined terms: "Appeals Board" § 15-201
"Person" § 11-101 "Unit" § 11-101

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Former SF § 11-136.2, which provided for escrow accounts for
the Department of Transportation, is deleted as obsolete since
the section expired by operation of law on June 30, 1988.

TITLE 16. DEBARMENT OF CONTRACTORS.

SUBTITLE 1. DEBARMENT FOR OFFENSES OTHER THAN BRIBERY.

16-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as the
first sentence of SF § ll-211(a).

The only changes are in style.

(B)  CONVICTION.

"CONVICTION" INCLUDES AN ACCEPTED PLEA OF NOLO CONTENDERE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as SF §
ll-211(a)(3).

No changes are made.

(C)  STATE CONTRACT.

"STATE CONTRACT" MEANS A CONTRACT WITH A UNIT IN THE
EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former SF §
ll-211(a)(5).

The former reference to a contract "of any kind" is
deleted as unnecessary since an unqualified reference
to "a contract" means a contract of any kind.
