and 12 part-time inspectors at an annual salary of [$4,000]
$5,000 each. In addition to this salary, each of the. inspectors
shall receive a monthly expense of $150 per month, subject to the
approval of the State Comptroller. The 13 inspectors appointed
for Anne Arundel County have all the powers of a peace officer or
a constable or sheriff of the State of Maryland, and shall make
oath to faithfully perform the duties entrusted to them, as
provided in Article I, § 9 of the Constitution of the State of
Maryland, and shall furnish bond in the penalty of $2,000 to the
board of license commissioners of Anne Arundel County and the
Board of County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County jointly,
conditioned "that inspector shall well and faithfully execute the
office in all things appertaining thereto." The cost of the bond
shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County.
The inspectors for Anne Arundel County are known as the "liquor
inspectors for Anne Arundel County." There shall be a full-time
administrator to the board whose annual salary shall be fixed by
the board as in a general Anne Arundel County classified salary
schedule, within pay grade 16. There shall be a full-time
secretary to the board whose annual salary shall be fixed by the
board as in a general county classified salary schedule, within
pay grade 13. There shall be an attorney to the board, at an
annual salary of $8,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.
