AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic Beverages - Inspectors

FOR the purpose of altering the annual salary of the part-time
chief inspector and each part-time inspector of the Anne
Arundel County Board of License Commissioners.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL . ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

158.

(b) The respective board shall be authorized to employ a
secretary and such inspectors, clerical and other assistance as
may be necessary, and to fix the compensation of such employees,
except as otherwise provided by this article.

(d) In Anne Arundel County (1) the Mayor, Counsellor and
Aldermen of Annapolis shall have the power to make and enforce
such rules, regulations and restrictions, in addition to, or in
substitution of, those contained in this article, but not
inconsistent therewith, as in the judgment of the Mayor,
Counsellor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis would give the
municipality more effective control of each of the places of
business.

(2) In addition to the powers given to the board of
license commissioners for Anne Arundel County in subsections (a)
and (b) of this section, the board is authorized to employ one
part-time chief inspector at an annual salary of [$6,000] $8,000,
