the certificate.

(2) On or after July 1, 1990, the Board may not
register any new applicants as property line surveyors.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Professional Engineers - Examinations

FOR the purpose of permitting the Board of Registration for
Professional Engineers to set reexamination fees to reflect
the actual cost of the exam; providing that examination fees
are not refundable and may not be applied to the cost of the

next examination; eliminating the requirement that a

candidate who fails 3 times wait 2 years before applying for
another examination; and generally relating to examinations
administered by the Board of Registration for Professional
Engineers.

(a) Examinations shall be held at the time and place that
the Board determines. If examinations are required on fundamental
engineering subjects (such as are ordinarily given in approved
engineering curricula), the applicant shall be permitted to take
the examination prior to his completion of the requisite years of
