supplement the appropriation for
fiscal year 1988 to provide funds

for normal salary increments

which had not been included in
the original appropriation.

General Fund Appropriation.........

It is the intent of the General

Assembly, in striking this

deficiency appropriation, that
the salary plan for staff in the
Governor's Office shall not be
implemented until July 1, 1988
and that no increases be made to
the salaries that were in effect
as of January 1, 1988.

23.01.05.01 Survey Commissions

To become available immediately
upon passage of this budget to
supplement the appropriation for
fiscal year 1988 to provide funds
for the operating expenses of the
Maryland Commission on State
Taxes and Tax Structure.
