a provision of this section which occurred on or before June 30,

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning
Howard County - Gaming Laws
FOR the purpose of restricting provisions of law permitting
certain organizations to hold certain carnivals, bazaars, or
raffles to organizations operating in Howard County for a
certain minimum period of time; authorizing the
organizations to contract for certain professional services
under certain conditions; requiring the organizations to
make certain certifications and submit a certain accounting
to obtain certain permits; limiting the number of permits to
be issued to an organization in a year prohibiting certain
types of games; limiting the amount of certain bets or
wagers and the hours an event is to be held; prohibiting the
consumption of alcoholic beverages under certain
circumstances; providing for certain penalties; making a
certain exception for bingo; making this Act an emergency
measure; defining a certain term; prohibiting in Howard
County certain types of gambling and certain events known as
casino nights; providing that certain gaming provisions do
not apply to bingo in Howard County; clarifying that certain
organizations may award prizes in cash or merchandise by
certain gaming devices in Howard County; making this Act an
emergency measure; and generally, relating to gaming laws in
Howard County.
