discretion of the court; all fines to be imposed under this
section shall be paid to the State. Notwithstanding anything to
the contrary the provisions of this section shall not apply:
(1) To Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore
County, Harford County, Howard County, Prince George's County,
Washington County, Worcester County, Montgomery County, [or]
Dorchester County, Charles County, or Talbot County; [or]
(2) To any person who conscientiously believes that
the seventh day of the week ought to be observed as the Sabbath
and who actually refrains from secular business and labor on that
day, and whose business establishment or establishments or
employer's business establishment or establishments (whether- a.
sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation) are actually
closed on that day; or
(3) To any person who conscientiously believes that
the Sabbath begins at sundown on Friday night and ends at sundown
on Saturday night and who actually refrains from secular business
and labor during such period, and whose business establishment or
establishments or employer's business establishment or
establishments (whether a sole proprietorship, partnership or
corporation) are actually closed during such period.

The extraneous disjunctive conjunctions, "or" were
contained in Ch. 26 of the Acts of 1975.

Nothing contained in §§ 492 and 522 of this article shall be
construed to prohibit [to] OR make unlawful the operation within
Worcester County of any bowling alley, duckpin alley or tenpin
alley or the exhibition within Worcester County, of baseball and
motion pictures between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and midnight on
the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday, whether the
same be operated or exhibited with or without a charge or
admission fee, provided, however, that all bowling, duckpin or
tenpin alleys shall be subject to all applicable provisions of
law relating to licensing and regulation on weekdays and that all
baseball and motion pictures exhibited shall be subject to all
provisions of law relating to licensing and censorship applicable
to baseball and motion "picture exhibitions on weekdays. The work
or employment of any operator, ticket seller or any other
employees or attendants in connection with any such operation of
a bowling, duckpin or tenpin alley, or such exhibition of
baseball and motion pictures shall not be unlawful because
