(a)  The following units are in the Department:

(17) Board of [Examiners of Nurses] NURSING.
15-103.

(b)  (1) (ii) "Certified nurse practitioner" means a
registered nurse who is licensed in this State, has completed a
nurse practitioner program approved by the State Board of
[Examiners of Nurses] NURSING, and has passed an examination
approved by that Board.

Article - Health Occupations

7-101.

(b)  "Board" means the State Board of [Examiners of Nurses]
NURSING.

7-201.

There is a State Board of [Examiners of Nurses] NURSING in
the Department.

7-205.

(a) In addition to the powers and duties set forth
elsewhere in this title, the Board has the following powers and
duties:

(3) To adopt rules and regulations for the
performance of delegated medical functions which are recognized
jointly by the State Board of Medical Examiners and the State
Board of [Examiners of Nurses] NURSING, under § 14-304(d) of this
article;

Article - State Government

8-403.

(c)  Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this
section, on or before July 1, 1992, an evaluation shall be made
of the following governmental activities or units and the
statutes and regulations that relate to the governmental
activities or units:

(10) State Board of [Examiners of Nurses] NURSING (§
7-201 of the Health Occupations Article);

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
