SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 95A - Unemployment Insurance Law

12.

(h) In the discharge of the duties imposed by this article,
any duly authorized representative or member of either the
[Executive Director] SECRETARY or Board of Appeals shall have
power to administer oaths and affirmations, take depositions,
certify to official acts, and issue subpoenas to be served by the
[Sheriff of Baltimore City, and in the counties] SHERIFF OF THE
APPROPRIATE JURISDICTION OR in the manner in which court
subpoenas are AUTHORIZED TO BE served, to compel the attendance
of witnesses and the production of books, papers, correspondence,
memoranda, and other records deemed necessary as evidence in
connection with a disputed claim or the administration of this
article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

Professional Service Corporations - Annual Reports

FOR the purpose of eliminating the requirement that professional
service corporations file certain annual reports with the
Department of Assessments and Taxation; and repealing
certain provisions of law relating to the annual reports.
