AN AMENDMENT to the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance for
the purpose of

adding a definition for mansard roof that will
eliminate the interpretation problems associated
with this roof design

providing a revised method for calculating the
height of buildings that have a mansard roof

By amending the following sections of the Montgomery
County Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 59 of the Montgomery
County Code:

Division 59-A-2 "Definitions and Interpretations"

Effective Date March 4, 1986.

AN AMENDMENT to the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance for
the purpose of

creating a new class of agricultural zones
consisting of the three existing rural zones;

emphasizing the agricultural nature of these
zones while distinguishing them from residential
zones;

clarifying the distinction between exclusively
agricultural uses and uses related to
agriculture;

adding and clarifying definitions of
agricultural and related uses;

deleting obsolete uses and definitions;

adding provisions for agricultural signs;

converting certain permitted uses to special
exception uses and adding new special exception
uses;
