AN ACT concerning

Dental Hygiene - License Renewal

FOR the purpose of altering the requirements to renew a license
to practice dental hygiene.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations

Section 4-309(c)(3)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

4-309.

(c) (3) Before a general license to practice dental hygiene
or a teacher's license to practice dental hygiene expires, the
licensee periodically may renew it for an additional term, if the
licensee:

(i) Within 3 years before the expiration date
of the license has practiced dental hygiene actively [in this
State;]:

1.  IN THIS STATE; OR

2.  AS A MEMBER OF A FEDERAL DENTAL
SERVICE;

(ii) Otherwise is entitled to be licensed;

(iii) Pays to the Board a renewal fee
equivalent to an annual fee of $10; and

(iv) Submits to the Board a renewal application
on the form that the Board provides.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
