WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

There is a Board of Trustees of State Universities and
Colleges which exercises direction and control of:

(1)  Bowie State College;

(2)  Coppin State College;

(3)  Frostburg State [College] UNIVERSITY;

(4)  Salisbury State College;

(5)  The University of Baltimore;

(6)  Towson State University; and

(7)  Any other 4-year State college established after
July 1, 1976.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, in accordance
with § 12-112 of the Education Article, the passage of this Act
is contingent on the recommendation of the State Board for Higher
Education that Frostburg State College be renamed Frostburg State
University.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of
this Act renaming Frostburg State College to Frostburg State
University shall be contingent on the recommendation of the State
Board for Higher Education, in accordance with the provisions of
§ 12-112 of the Education Article, that Frostburg State College
be renamed Frostburg State University.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the
provisions of Section 2 above, this Act shall take effect July 1,
1987.
