WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
June 2, 1987
The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 900.
This bill alters the amount of fees required for issuance of
a grain dealer's license and establishes four new types of
licenses based on bushels of grain anticipated to be handled in
the year of the license application.
House Bill 793, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 14, 1987, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 900.
Sincerely,
William Donald Schaefer
Governor
