EMPRESS II project because of the disruption to commercial
shipping in the Chesapeake Bay; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Maryland Congressional Delegation bring
its considerable influence to bear oh the U. S. Navy to persuade
it to end all further consideration of using the EMPRESS II
project; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable John F.
Lehman, Jr., Secretary of the Navy, The Pentagon, Washington, D.
C. 20350; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable William
Donald Schaefer, Governor of Maryland; the Honorable Thomas V.
Mike Miller, Jr., President of the Senate of Maryland; and the
Honorable R. Clayton Mitchell, Jr., Speaker of the House of
Delegates; and be it further

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Women and Minority Business Entrepeneurs Entrepreneurs
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to appoint a task
force to study woman women and minority business
entrepreneurs entrepreneurs, how to increase their numbers,
and increase the incidence of their successful business
participation.
WHEREAS, It is the policy of the General Assembly to
promote, assist, and encourage women and minorities as business
entrepeneurs entrepreneurs and to enhance their impact on the
economy; and
