AN ACT concerning

Condominiums - Application for Registration

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Secretary of State from
approving an application for registration of a certain
residential rental facility if a certain person does not
meet certain requirements of the Maryland Condominium Act
regarding tenants' rights; specifying that certain
applications contain certain information; providing for the
revocation of a registered public offering statement under
certain circumstances; specifying certain duties of the
Secretary of State; providing for certain penalties a
certain award defining a certain term; and generally
relating to an application for registration under the
Maryland Condominium Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Real Property

11-102.2.

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "TERMINATE" MEANS:

(1)  A GIVING OF NOTICE TERMINATING A PERIODIC TENANCY
OF A DWELLING WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL RENTAL FACILITY; OR

(2)  THE FAILURE TO RENEW OR CONTINUE AN EXISTING
LEASE FOR A DWELLING IN A RESIDENTIAL RENTAL FACILITY UPON ITS
EXPIRATION.
