Ch. 10

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, it shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 168)

AN ACT concerning

Allegany County - School Bus Transportation

FOR the purpose of prohibiting in Allegany County a school bus
from transporting any student a distance of 45 miles or more
to school and from school each way, with certain exceptions;
providing that, in Allegany County, the Board of Education
is prohibited from requiring any student from riding in a
school bus for a certain period of time or over a certain
distance; permitting a school bus to transport certain
students a certain distance or over a certain period of
time; and generally relating to school bus transportation in
Allegany County.
