SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

FOR the purpose of requiring the Joint Budget and Audit Committee
to compile a list of certain programs established during a
certain period; and authorizing the Committee to monitor or
evaluate certain programs.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

2-606.

(a) In addition to any duties set forth elsewhere, the
Committee:

(1)  shall study, systematically and in detail, all
matters that relate to the Department of Fiscal Services; and

(2)  on the basis of the evaluation under § 2-204 of
the State Finance and Procurement Article, shall review federal
