AN ACT concerning

Medical Malpractice - Statute of Limitations

FOR the purpose of requiring that certain action be filed
within a certain time of an allegedly wrongful act or
omission; modifying the age at which the time for filing an
action shall commence if a claimant was under a certain age
at a certain time; providing certain exceptions; clarifying
language; providing for the construction and application of
this Act; and generally relating to the statute of
limitations in actions for damages against health care
providers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

5-109.

(A) An action for damages for an injury arising out of the
rendering of or failure to render professional services by a
health care provider, as defined in § 3-2A-01 of this article
