employment of any operator, ticket seller or other employee or
attendant, in connection with such exhibition, shall not be
unlawful because performed on Sunday.

(b) Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a
fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), for each and
every such violation.]

Nothing contained in § 492 of this article, however, shall
be construed as prohibiting, penalizing or making unlawful the
operation of any bowling alley, tenpin alley or duckpin alley in
Allegany County on Sunday, with or without a charge or fee.]

[519.

Nothing contained in § 492 of this article, however, shall
be construed as prohibiting, penalizing or making unlawful the
operation of any motion picture theatre, bowling alley, tenpin
alley or duckpin alley in Kent County on Sunday, with or without
a charge or fee, except that within the corporate limits of
Chestertown, no such alley or theatre shall be operated before 2
p.m. on Sunday.]

[521.

(a) THIS SECTION ONLY APPLIES IN WICOMICO AND ALLEGANY
COUNTIES. No person in this State shall sell, dispose of,
barter, or deal in, or give away any articles of merchandise on
Sunday, except retailers, who may sell and deliver on said day
tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, candy, sodas and soft drinks, ice,
ice cream, ices and other confectionery, milk, bread, fruits,
vegetables, gasoline, gasohol, oils and greases.

(b) In Kent and Queen Anne's counties, in addition to the
articles of merchandise hereinbefore mentioned, retailers may
sell, barter, deal in, and deliver on Sunday the following
articles of merchandise: butter, eggs, cream, soap and other
detergents, disinfectants, vegetables, meats, and all other food
or foodstuffs prepared or intended for human or household pet

consumption, automobile accessories and parts, boating and

fishing accessories, artificial and natural flowers and shrubs,
toilet goods, hospital supplies, thermometers, camera films,
souvenirs, surgical instruments, rubber goods, paper goods,
drugs, medicines, patent medicines, and all other articles used
for the relief of pain or prescribed by a physician; provided,
however, that nothing in this subtitle shall be construed to
prevent the operation of any retail establishment on Sunday, the
operation of which does not entail the employment of more than
one person, not including the owner or proprietor. Every market
