Ch. 11

LAWS OP MARYLAND

data sheet from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene,
pursuant to [§ 32H(b)] § 32H(C) of this subtitle.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an outdated cross-reference
in Article 89, § 32K(c).

Article 89, § 32H(b) became Article 89, § 32H(c) in
Ch. 793 of the Acts of 1986.

The outdated cross-reference was noted by the
professional staff of the Legislative Division of the
Department of Legislative Reference.

68.

(b) (1) The Commissioner or his authorized representative,
has the power to administer oaths, certify as to official acts,
take and cause to be taken [deposition] DEPOSITIONS of witnesses,
issue subpoenas, and compel the attendance of witnesses and
production of papers, books, documents, records and testimony.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a typographical error in
Article 89, § 68(b)(1).

The typographical error, the use of the word
"deposition" in the place of the word "depositions",
occurred in Ch. 84.4 of the Acts of 1976.

The typographical error was noted by the Computer
Division of the Department of Legislative Reference.

70.

(f) Rules, regulations, standards, or modifications,
amendments, or revocations thereof, issued by the Commissioner
under this subtitle shall be effective as provided in § 10-117 of
the State Government Article and shall have the force and effect
of law. The Commissioner, however, may delay the effective date
for such period (not to exceed 90 days) as the Commissioner
determines may be necessary to insure that affected owners,
operators, [lessees] LESSEES, or manufacturers of amusement rides
and attractions will be informed of the existence of such rules,
regulations and standards and of its terms and that affected
owners, operators, lessees, OR manufacturers of amusement rides
and attractions are given an opportunity to familiarize
themselves and their employees with the existence of the
requirements of such rules, regulations and standards.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects the omission of punctuation
and of a conjunction in Article 89, § 70(f).
