SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 38-9 through 38-19, respectively, of
Article 19 - St. Mary's County of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 38-10 through 38-20,
respectively.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
Article 19 - St. Mary's County
38-1.
The Board of County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
shall, on or before July 1, 1972, appoint a Board which shall be
known as the "Board of Electrical Examiners," consisting of [five
(5)] AT LEAST 3 persons for the purpose of examining into the
qualification and capabilities of all persons who are engaged or
desire to engage in the business of master electrician, as
defined in this chapter. AT ALL TIMES [The] THE Board so
appointed shall consist of [two (2)] 2 competent licensed master
electricians of St. Mary's County, who shall be selected from a
list of [four (4)] 4 names recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners by the St. Mary's County Electrical Contractors'
Association[, and three (3) members to be selected by the County
Commissioners. The members of the Board so appointed shall serve
for a term to run concurrently with the tenure of the County
Commissioners]. THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL SELECT
THE REMAINING MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS ARE AUTHORIZED TO SET THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR
MEMBERS OF THE BOARD.
If any vacancy occurs for any cause during the term of any
Board as herein provided for, the Board of County Commissioners
shall appoint somebody from a list of two (2) names recommended
by said Electrical Contractors' Association to fill the unexpired
term. The Board of County Commissioners shall have full power to
remove any member of the Board for incompetency or improper
