fact to the State Treasurer and the proceeds of the loan shall be
expended for the purposes provided in this Act. If this evidence
is not presented by June 1, 1989, the proceeds of the loan shall
be applied to the purposes authorized in § 8-129 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take-effect June 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning

State Department of Agriculture - Reimbursement
for Deaths of Ducks

FOR the purpose of repealing altering the provision of law that
prevented the State Department of Agriculture from
reimbursing any person whose flock of certain ducks dies or
is quarantined and destroyed because of certain diseases.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

3-107.

(a) [(1) This section does not apply to and the
Department is not responsible for the reimbursement of any person
whose flock of ducks that are intended to be released for
purposes of hunting dies or is quarantined and destroyed because
of an infectious or contagious disease IF THOSE DUCKS WERE
IMPORTED INTO THE STATE WITHOUT BEING CERTIFIED AS DISEASE
FREE.]
