AN ACT concerning

Prince George's and Montgomery Counties -

Grants to Local Bus Systems

MC/PG 22-87

FOR the purpose of repealing altering a provision of law that
would terminate certain grants to local bus systems in
Prince George's and Montgomery counties on a certain date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 689 of   the Acts of the General Assembly of 1984, as

amended     by Chapter 295 of the Acts of the General

Assembly   of 1986

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 689 of the Acts of 1984,
as amended by Chapter 295 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984 [and shall remain effective for a

period of 4 5 years, and at the end of June 30, 1988 1989,

and with no further action required by the General Assembly, this
Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect].

(a)  In this section, "local bus system" means a bus transit
system owned or operated by Montgomery County or Prince George's
County.

(b)  In this section, "operating deficit" means operating
