WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                   Ch. 478

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION WHICH INCORPORATES THE ACADEMIC COURSE
WORK AND THE MINIMUM HOURS OF SUPERVISED TRAINING REQUIRED BY THE
RULES AND REGULATIONS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD; AND

(2) HAVE COMPLETED THE PERIOD OF SUPERVISED
POSTGRADUATE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
AS SPECIFIED BY THE REGULATIONS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD.

(d) Except as otherwise provided in this title, the
applicant shall pass an examination given or approved by the
Board under this subtitle.

19-304.

(c) (1) For the examination of applicants, the Board may
adopt appropriate examinations given by a professional body in
the field of speech-LANGUAGE pathology.

(2) The Board may supplement any written examination
given under this section with an oral examination.

19-305.

(a) The Board may waive any of the qualifications required
for a license under this title for an individual who:

(1)  Is of good moral character;

(2)  Pays the application fee required by the Board
under § 19-303 of this subtitle; and

(3)  (i) Holds the certificate of clinical competence
in speech-LANGUAGE pathology of the American Speech-LANGUAGE and
Hearing Association AND MEETS THE PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD; or

(ii) Was engaged actively in the practice of
speech-LANGUAGE pathology in this State on July 1, 1972.

19-307.

A license authorizes the licensee to practice
speech-LANGUAGE pathology while the license is effective.

19-308.

(f) A speech-LANGUAGE pathologist has a grace period of 30
days after the speech-LANGUAGE pathologist's license expires in
which to renew it retroactively, if the speech-LANGUAGE
pathologist:

(1) Otherwise is entitled to have the license
renewed; and
