Ch. 478

altering the individuals for whom the Board may waive
requirements for obtaining a license; clarifying the
requirements for obtaining a license by a person whose
license has been expired for more than a certain number of
years; altering the requirements for obtaining a limited
license to practice speech-language pathology; clarifying
terms which are prohibited under certain circumstances; and
generally relating to the practice of speech-language
pathology.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations

Section 19-101, 19-201, 19-202(a)(2) and (4) and (c),
19-205, 19-301, 19-302, 19-304(c), 19-305(a),
19-307, 19-308(f), 19-309, 19-310(a) and (b),
19-311, 19-312.1(a), 19-313(3), (8), (15), (16), and
(21), 19-316, 19-401(a), 19-402(a) and (b), and
19-501

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

19-101.

(a)  In this title the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(b)  "Board" means the State Board of Examiners for
Speech-LANGUAGE Pathologists.

(c)     "License" means, unless the context requires
otherwise, a license issued by the Board to practice
speech-LANGUAGE pathology.

(d)  "Licensed speech-LANGUAGE pathologist" means, unless
the context requires otherwise, a speech-LANGUAGE pathologist who
is licensed by the Board to practice speech-LANGUAGE pathology.

(e)  "Limited license" means a license issued by the Board
as limited by § 19-310 of this title to practice speech-LANGUAGE
pathology.

(f)  "Practice speech-LANGUAGE pathology" means to apply the
principles, methods, and procedures of measurement, prediction,
evaluation, testing, counseling, consultation, and instruction
that relate to the development and disorders of HEARING, speech,
VOICE, SWALLOWING, and [related] language and [hearing
