2. Hold a certificate of clinical
competence in audiology of the American Speech and Hearing
Association or an equivalent certificate;]
(ii) One shall be a LICENSED speech-LANGUAGE
pathologist who:
1. [Is licensed to practice speech
pathology in this State;
2.] Has HAS at least 5 years paid work
experience in speech-LANGUAGE pathology; [and
3. Holds a certificate of clinical
competence in speech pathology of the American Speech and Hearing
Association or an equivalent certificate;]
(iii) One shall be a physician who:
1. Is licensed to practice medicine in
this State; and
2. Holds a certificate of qualification
from the American Board of Otolaryngology; and
(iv) One shall be a consumer member.
(4) The Governor shall appoint the audiologist and
speech-LANGUAGE pathologist members, with the advice of the
Secretary, from a list submitted to the Secretary and the
Governor by the Maryland Speech-LANGUAGE and Hearing Association.
The number of names on the list shall be at least three times the
number of vacancies.

(c) The applicant shall:
(1) [Have a master's degree or its equivalent from an
educational institution with a graduate program recognized by the
Board in:
(i) Audiology; or
(ii) Any other subject, if the applicant has
taken courses in audiology that the Board finds sufficient to
qualify the applicant in audiology; and
(2) Have fulfilled the clinical experience,
employment, and additional educational requirements established
by rules and regulations adopted by the Board on the basis of
appropriate national standards.] HOLD A MASTER'S DEGREE OR ITS
EQUIVALENT IN AUDIOLOGY FROM AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION WHICH
