Ch. 440

LAWS OF MARYLAND

(3) The Department shall waive annual license fees
for certain persons, as follows:

(i) Persons who are State residents under 14
and over 64 years of age to harvest crabs by trotline, trap,
pound, scrape, or dip net;

(II) PERSONS WHO ARE STATE RESIDENTS OVER 64
YEARS OF AGE WHO HAVE HELD A CRAB POT LICENSE UNDER PARAGRAPH(3)
(IV) PARAGRAPH (1)(IV) OF THIS SUBSECTION FOR AT LEAST THE 3
CONSECUTIVE YEARS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THEIR APPLICATION FOR A
WAIVER TO HARVEST CRABS BY USING NOT MORE THAN 50 POTS;

[(ii)] (III) Persons who are State residents
over 64 years of age to harvest oysters by handtong or handscrape
in authorized areas;

[(iii)] (IV) Persons who are State residents
over 64 years of age who have held a tidal fish license each year
for at least 3 years before their 64th birthday to harvest
finfish for commercial purposes using not more than 1 boat;

[(iv)](V) Persons who are State residents
under 14 and over 64 years of age for finfish and crab harvesting
for personal consumption pursuant to §§ 4-709 and 4-804(c); and

[(v)](VI) Persons who are State residents over
64 years of age to harvest soft-shell clams or hard-shell clams
with equipment that is lawful under Subtitle 10 of this title.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
