(House Bill 182)

AN ACT concerning

Tidal Fish License - Waiver of Fees for Certain Persons

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Natural Resources
to waive certain tidal fish license fees for certain persons
who harvest crabs using certain methods.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

Section 4-701(b) and (d)(1)(iv) and (v)

Annotated Code of Maryland

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-701.

(b) The Department shall utilize a single license, called a
tidal fish license. A tidal fish license shall authorize the
licensee to engage in each activity indicated on the license.

(d) (1) The following annual license fees shall apply:

(iv) To catch for sale crabs with equipment
that is lawful under Subtitle 8:

1.  Up to 50 pots, trotlines, nets, dip
nets, traps, pounds, and scrapes..............................$50

2.  More than 50 pots.................$150

3.  All equipment in 1. and 2. above..$175

(v) To catch crabs for noncommercial purposes
pursuant to § 4-804(c):
