SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health - General

[4-222.

(a) (1) On request of the State Archives, the Department
shall provide the Archives, by loan or otherwise, with
photographic copies of death certificates.

(2) After appropriately organizing and indexing the
certificates, the State Archives may extract from them the
following information for use by researchers at the State
Archives:

(i) The full name of the deceased.

(ii) The place of residence of the deceased.

(iii) The date and place of birth of the
deceased.

(iv) The date and place of death of the
deceased.

(v) The full names and places of birth of the
parents of the deceased.

(vi) The place of final disposition of the
deceased.

(vii) The occupation of the deceased.

(viii) The name and relationship of the
informant.

(ix) Any other information that the Department
determines is nonconfidential.
