(b) Before any individual is eligible for a certificate to
act as agent or broker as to life and health insurance or
annuities, he shall, except as otherwise provided in this
subtitle, meet the qualifications prescribed in § 178 OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects stylistic errors in
cross-references in Article 48A, § 176(a) and (b).

The stylistic errors occurred in Ch. 553 of the Acts
of 1963 and in Ch. 778 of the Acts of 1984.

The stylistic errors were noted by the professional

(d) An individual who meets the qualifications prescribed
by this subtitle shall be eligible for a certificate as agent in
the kind or kinds of insurance for which the individual has
qualified; and if qualified in the various kinds of insurance
stated in [§ 168(c)] § 168(A) of this subtitle the individual
shall be eligible for license as a broker.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an outdated cross-reference
in Article 48A, § 176(d).

The cross-reference became outdated with amendments
made by Ch. 778 of the Acts of 1984.

The outdated cross-reference was noted by the Michie
Company.

(e) The Commissioner may require an examination to
establish the competency of an individual whose certificate has
been terminated under § 170(c) OF THIS SUBTITLE. In cases where
the license has been suspended or revoked as provided in § 175 OF
THIS SUBTITLE, the Commissioner may in his discretion require the
applicant to pass an examination and file a new application
before reinstatement.

cross-reference in Article 48A, § 176(e).
