LAWS OF MARYLAND

Community Development its proposed work programs and operating
budget for the following fiscal year, together with supporting
schedules to show that the budget is financed, and to provide for
review and recommendations.                                                         

(ii) The proposed operating budget shall then
be forwarded to the Department of Budget and Fiscal Planning for
consideration.

(3) (i) Provision shall be made in the State budget
for the ensuing fiscal year for an appropriation to partially
support the Council.

(ii) The State's contribution under this
section is subject to annual review by the General Assembly.

Article 38A - Fires and Investigations

51A.

Every high-rise building on which construction begins after
July 1, 1983, shall be protected by a smoke control system: (1)
designed and constructed in accordance with accepted engineering
practices and (2) in compliance with standards developed by and
jointly promulgated as regulations by the Department of
[Economic] HOUSING and Community Development and the State Fire
Prevention Commission and to be enforced by the State Fire
Marshal, and in Baltimore City, by the Chief of the Fire
Department.

Article 44A - Housing Authorities

23A.

(c)  The Department of [Economic] HOUSING and Community
Development or a local housing authority may act on behalf of
native American Indians or an Indian tribe in this State,
generally as a local public agency or public housing agency and
do anything necessary or convenient for this purpose.

Article 49B - Human Relations Commission

(d)  (1) For the purposes of this section, a "place of
public accommodation" also means any establishment that:

(i) Is operated by a public or private entity;

(ii) Is not included in subsection (c) of this
section; and

(iii) Is a retail establishment, whether
