6-401.

This [subheading] SUBTITLE shall be known and may be cited
as the "State Energy Assistance and Information Program Act."

6-404.

(b) The exercise of all authority, duties, and functions
vested, or to be vested, in the office of Energy Assistance and
Information or in the coordinator or the deputy coordinator by
the provisions of this [subheading] SUBTITLE or by any other laws
of this State is subject to the authority of the Secretary of the
Department of Human Resources as set forth in Article 41 of this
Code or elsewhere in the laws of Maryland.

Article 41, §§ 6-401 and 6-404(b).

Former subheading 49A, "State Energy Assistance and
Information Program Act", became Title 6, Subtitle 4
of this article when the sections of Article 41 were
renumbered pursuant to Ch. 5 of the Acts of 1986.

The outdated cross-references were noted by the Michie
Company.

7-301.

(a) In this [subheading] SUBTITLE the following words have
the meanings indicated.

7-302.

This [subheading] SUBTITLE does not apply, to reductions in
operations if the reduction:

(1)  Results solely from labor disputes;

(2)  Occurs in a commercial, industrial, or
agricultural enterprise operated by this State or its political
subdivisions;

(3)  Occurs at construction sites or other temporary
workplaces;

(4)  Results from seasonal factors that are determined
by the Department to be customary in the industry; or

(5)  Results when an employer files for bankruptcy
under federal bankruptcy laws.
