(House Bill 98)
AN ACT concerning
Maryland Department of Agriculture - Pesticide Applicator's Law
FOR the purpose of altering certain definitions under the
Pesticide Applicator's Law; repealing certain requirements
for custom applicators; repealing certain requirements for
custom pest control businesses to obtain a certain license;
providing for a fee for certain pesticide dealer permits;
providing for certain renewal requirements; exempting
certain nonresident pesticide applicators or consultants
from certain examination requirements; authorizing the
adoption by the Secretary of Agriculture of certain
regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency;
requiring a licensee or certain permit holder to give
certain information to customers or the Department;
requiring a licensee to post signs under certain
circumstances and defining sign requirements; authorizing
the Secretary of Agriculture to seek an injunction and
impose a civil penalty on certain violators in accordance
with certain standards; providing that certain sections of
this Act shall not be enforced until after a certain date;
and generally relating to the regulation of persons who
apply or sell pesticides.
