AN ACT concerning
Physicians - Education on Breast Implantation
FOR the purpose of requiring physicians to educate inform certain
patients in a certain manner of the advantages,
disadvantages, and risks associated with breast
implantations; requiring the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene to provide a standardized written summary containing
certain information about breast implantation; providing a
penalty for failure to educate a breast implantation patient
of the advantages, disadvantages, and risks associate with
breast implantation; making the provisions of this Act
supplemental and additional to any requirement now existing
upon a physician; providing for a certain effective date;
and generally relating to breast implantation.
