Ch. 297

(ii) Sterilize or clean the container in
accordance with this subsection.

(2)  To sterilize a container under this section, the
manufacturer shall use:

(i) Boiling water;

(ii) Live steam;

(iii) A solution of sodium hypochlorite; or

(iv) Any other effective method that the
Secretary approves.

(3)  Instead of sterilizing a container, a
manufacturer, before putting a soft drink in a container, may
clean the container by washing it by machine with water that:

(i) Is at least 125 degrees Fahrenheit in the
wash cycle;

(ii) Contains a cleansing mixture equivalent to
a caustic soda solution of at least 2.5 percent in the wash
cycle; and

(iii) Is pure and clean in the rinse cycle.]

[4-333.

Each individual who works in a manufacturing plant shall
wear clean clothing when the individual is working in the
manufacturing plant.]

[4-334.

(a)  A person may not manufacture a soft drink in this State
for sale in this State unless licensed by the Secretary.

(b)  In this State, a person may not sell a soft drink
manufactured outside of this State unless the soft drink has been
registered with the Department.

(c)  A manufacturer may not knowingly employ in a
manufacturing plant any individual who has:

(1)  A contagious disease;

(2)  An infectious disease; or

(3)  A skin disease.
