AN ACT concerning

Group Homes - Notice to Counties and , Municipalities,
and Members of the General Assembly

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Human Resources to
give notice to the governing bodies of the county and
municipality and, upon request, the members of the General
Assembly from the legislative district where care certified
adult residential environment housing for certain disabled
adults is to be located; requiring the Secretary of Human
Resources to give notice to the governing bodies of the
county and municipality and, upon request, the members of
the General Assembly from the legislative district where a
battered spouse shelter is to be located; requiring the
Juvenile Services Administration to give notice to the
governing bodies of the county and municipality and, upon
request, the members of the General Assembly from the
legislative district where a child care home or institution
is to be located; requiring the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene to give notice to the governing body of the
municipality and, upon request, the members of the General
Assembly from the legislative district where a public group
home is to be located; requiring the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene to give notice to the governing bodies of the
county and municipality and, upon request, the members of
the General Assembly from the legislative district where a
private group home is to be located; requiring the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to give notice to
the governing bodies of the county and municipality and,
upon request, the members of the General Assembly from the
legislative district where an alcohol abuse facility is to
be located; requiring the Drug Abuse Administration to give
notice to the governing bodies of the county and
municipality and, upon request, the members of the General
Assembly from the legislative district where a drug abuse
facility is to be located; and requiring the Secretary of
Health and Mental Hygiene to give notice to the governing
body of the municipality and, upon request, the members of
the General Assembly from the legislative district where a
large or small private group home is to be located;
requiring that each agency that licenses or certifies
certain housing projects, shelters, homes, alternative
living units, and facilities report annually to the
Legislative Policy Committee; requiring that the report
contain certain information; and, providing for a certain
termination date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
