2. MEMBERSHIP IN AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS
OF THE STATE PENSION SYSTEM.
(II) THE HEALTH BENEFITS UNDER THIS PARAGRAPH
INCLUDE:
1. HOSPITALIZATION;
2. VISION CARE;
3. PRESCRIPTIONS;
4. DENTAL CARE;
5. LIFE INSURANCE; AND
6. EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT.
(III) THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND COUNTY COUNCIL
MAY NOT ADOPT, EITHER THROUGH PUBLIC LOCAL LAW OR PERSONNEL LAW,
ANY POLICY CONTRARY TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBPARAGRAPH (I) OF THIS
PARAGRAPH.
(n) (2) The inspectors shall each have all the powers of a
peace officer or a constable or sheriff of the State of Maryland,
and shall make oath to faithfully perform the duties entrusted to
them, as provided in Article I, § 9 of the Maryland Constitution.
The inspectors of Prince George's County shall be known as
"alcoholic beverage inspectors for Prince George's County". The
Inspectors shall have the duty of visiting and Inspecting every
licensed premises in Prince George's County periodically and
carrying on such other duties as the board of license
commissioners of Prince George's County might prescribe. There
shall be [7] 2 full-time and [14] 29 part-time Inspectors all of
whom shall be residents of Prince George's County, Maryland. THE
2 FULL-TIME INSPECTOR POSITIONS SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS THE CHIEF
INSPECTOR AND THE DEPUTY CHIEF INSPECTOR. [All 7] THE 2 full-time
Inspectors who meet the standards set out by the Prince George's
County merit board and who are certified by the personnel
director as meeting these standards shall _ be entitled to the
provisions of the county merit system. The board of license
commissioners for Prince George's County shall designate annually
a chief inspector from among the [7} 2 full-time inspectors. The
chief inspector, under the direction of the board of license
commissioners, shall regulate the duties, hours, and assignments
of the various inspectors.
Article 73B - Pensions
113.
The membership of the pension system shall consist of the
following individuals:
(3) (a) Membership in the pension system shall be
optional with the following who receive an annual salary:
(i) Elected or appointed officials;
(ii) Employees of the Governor's office;
[or]
(iii) Employees of either House of the
General Assembly [.]; AND
(IV) MEMBERS OF THE PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY BOARD OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSE COMMISSIONERS.
