AN ACT concerning

Charles County and St. Mary's County -
Bailiffs - Compensation

FOR the purpose of repealing the maximum amount of compensation
received by bailiffs in Charles County and St. Mary's
County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Section 2-506(a)(19) 2-506(a) (9) and (19)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1984 Replacement Volume and 1986 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-506.

(a) A bailiff shall receive the compensation provided in
this section. Unless otherwise provided, the amount is a per
diem sum for each day he attends the circuit court.

(9) Charles County — As set by county government
[but not more than $30].

(19) St. Mary's County — As set by the county
government [but not more than $30].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

is contrary to any benefit eligibility provisions provided
