(a) (3) At the time of submitting the certified copies of
returns required by § 17-5 of this article, the local board shall
furnish a copy of the certification specified in paragraph (2)
[above] OF THIS SUBSECTION.

The electors for this State shall meet in the State House in
the City of Annapolis. After taking and subscribing the oath
prescribed by [Article I, § 6] ARTICLE I, § 9 of the
Constitution, before the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, or in his
absence before one of his deputies, they shall give their votes
for President and Vice-President of the United States, on the day
fixed by law of the United States, for meetings of electors of
President and Vice-President of the United States, and shall cast
their votes for the candidates who have received a plurality of
the votes cast in the State of Maryland.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an outdated cross-reference
in Article 33, § 20-4.

Article I, § 6 of the Constitution became Article I, §
9 of the Constitution in Ch. 681 of the Acts of 1977,
ratified November 7, 1978.

The outdated cross-reference was noted by the Michie
Company and the Administrative Office of the Courts, of
Maryland.
