(4) Terminated State service with 10 years of
creditable service and within 5 years of normal retirement age.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1986.

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
St. Mary's County from collecting appearance fees.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

7-204.

(a) Except in the District Court and except as provided in
this section, an attorney-at-law is entitled to demand and
receive the following fees:

(1) For bringing, prosecuting, or defending any
action at law in a court of original jurisdiction — $5;
